Responsive Maintenance & Repairs

Along with planned maintenance, Strutt and Mason also provide responsive maintenance services – urgent requirements to provide temporary repair and relief. In cases where there is no room to plan out maintenance and repair work, we offer emergency services that allow you to get planned maintenance services in place thereafter.

A fully trained and prepared staff, along with 24-hour reachability , puts us in the position of being able to provide completely dependable and efficient responsive services.

We undertake emergency repairs – on locks, doors, gates, walls, roofs and gardens. We set it up so that your immediate security concerns are addressed, and you can plan for either repair or fresh installations.

When called upon for responsive repairs, we can also undertake an overall check-up of your building, to review its elements and advise you on the state of the infrastructure. This helps you plan out action on these issues, instead of having to repeatedly rely on emergency calls over time.

*For any certification required that is not known in advance, an administration fee of £20 + VAT will be levied.

Holiday Rates
NB: From Christmas Eve onwards all rates will be £160+VAT per hour and will return to normal on Jan 3rd.
From 5pm on Christmas Eve until the end of Boxing Day and from 5pm on New Year’s Eve until the end of New Year’s Day rates will be £200+VAT per hour.
Over the Easter period all jobs will be charged at late night rates. This includes Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Bank holiday Monday, however normal rates will apply on Saturday.

Planned Maintenance & Cyclical Repairs

We offer a two-fold service, comprising planned maintenance and cyclical repairs on our buildings. This ensures that the properties stay in proper shape, and are well taken care of, over a long period of time. Negligence and piecemeal repairs on buildings do not offer longevity, and the attempt to cut short-term costs leads to a series of spiralling expenses over time.

Planned Maintenance deals with complaints and calls for improvement on existing properties, regarding areas that need whole-scale repair or refurbishment. These typically involve:

  • Changes to the building structure: Roofs, walls, flooring etc
  • Changes to building systems: Plumbing, guttering, ventilation, electric connections, faulty doors and windows
  • Refurbishment: Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms – painting, decorating and/or rearranging them
  • Improvements to entry systems: Main doors, gates, fire alarms, locking systems, garden fencing, among others
  • General services: Carpentry, waste management, shared garden landscaping etc

Cyclical Repairs

These are services we provide to ensure that various facets for your building do not remain neglected for long periods of time. Owners sometimes even attempt major repairs by themselves. While this might sometimes work, more often than not it delays the inevitable full-scale repair work.

To avoid having to invest in new installations and constructions, we recommend that you use our efficient and dependable repair service. Some of the areas we cover are:

  • Decoration, refurbishment and painting of exteriors and interiors
  • Basic repairs on doors, locks, windows, frames and other constructions that might fall victim to weather, and wear-and-tear
  • Maintenance of floors, gardens, stairs, drains. Basic wearing down, piling up of filth and exposure to heat, cold and rain can affect these. We undertake regular repairs, to keep them in shape.

All these services can be planned for, once we understand the extent of the services required. Once we survey the range of services needed, we plan out the repairs, set up scaffolding if needed, and give you advance notice to prepare for the period we will be working.
